We're doing a morning meeting with our class.

We did on spring break. 

Now we are doing dictée,we are doing are pre test.

March 28 2014

Today we had math,we watched 3 videos about decimals,division and fraction. Some of them were funny.

 

 

We had art after recess and used pastels to edit our art we made yesterday called squares with concentric rings by Wassily Kandinsky .It got kind of messy for some of us.

Next was reading buddies.There's really not much to tell ,you mostly read but sometimes we do activities with our reading buddies.Only math activities though. We also do writing activities with our other reading buddies. Yes, we have 2 reading buddy periods. We're with grade 1s and 2s. 

After lunch we had a basketball tournament. It was grade 5s vs teachers, like always. Everybody in the audience cheers  for the teachers...Well, that's at least the only thing you can hear. I think the teachers won. Of course I didn't keep score.

March 25th

French

Today we had French and we did a story about anything we wanted to.

It was so fun. Another person and I did one about minecraft, lots of people liked it.

We did a comic book strip about Judy Blume tales of a fourth grade nothing

Then we have to draw a picture and colour it in.

Health 

We read is it bullying.  It's about reading a sentence and determining if that sentence is bullying or not.

Monday March 24 th

Right now we are prsenting our French poem .

Mme is showing us a new French app for the i Pad's

The app is is called Conjugaison it's just about working with verbs but in French 

Now we are checking out the app.

We are working on our novel study called JUDY BLUME TALES OF A FOURTH GRADE NOTHING! We are working on writing a chapter summary.

Tuesday 18th 2014

After we did our agendas, we did our drops in the bucket activity.

In gym we played cats and corners with the kindergarten's.  You have to switch spots without talking and if you talk you're the cat.  It is a really fun game. 

To start the day we do our French duotangs. Today we're doing 5 French sentences.  We have the groups of words than we have the verbes than complement groups. We make them into sentences.  In this photo we have to add an (ent) ending if the subject before the verb is plural, or just leave the verb how it is if it's singular.  

In math we were using the box method for multiplication.

After we did math sheets. 

Than after Lunch we read our Judy Blume tales of a forth grade nothing.  Each of us had a chance to read!  

Monday March 17th

Today in class we had music first period it was fun we are learning a song about spring.

Then we presented poems in French class.  We had a choice to go with a partner or by yourself everyone did really well. 

In math we worked in partners on dry erase boards. We practiced multiplication with two digit numbers  using he box method. Our exit ticket for lunch was to complete a math equation. 

Then in the afternoon we had santé with Mme Towells. 

We also did a journal entry in English class. We had to write about if we had 100 dollars and couldn't spend it on ourselves, what would we spend it on. 

At the end of the day we reflect on our day and think about how we filled someone's bucket. Then we write on a drop explaining how we filled someone's bucket.
